SUMMARY:Tea Class: Tea and Water Evaluation(English)
DESCRIPTION:Hi tea lovers! \nJoin us for a hands-on exploration of Tea and Water Evaluation\, an essential but often overlooked topic in Chinese tea culture. \nLu Yu\, the Tea Sage\, once wrote in The Classic of Tea that “water is the mother of tea.” Simply put\, the water you use plays a key role in how tea tastes and feels. \nIn this session\, we’ll compare different types of water\, including purified water\, mineral water\, and water with different pH levels and mineral content\,  and see how they affect the color\, aroma\, and flavor of the tea. \nThrough side-by-side brewing and tasting\, we’ll evaluate the differences together\, share observations\, and discuss what kinds of water work best for different teas in everyday brewing. \nTime: 1/25 (Sun)\, 1–3 PMLocation: Teafairy Tearoom

SUMMARY:花样年华·怀旧派对 Vintage Vibes · Nostalgia Party
DESCRIPTION:In the 1920s and 1930s\, Shanghai was China’s most prosperous metropolis. It was here that Chinese culture first came into close contact with Western influences\, giving rise to the distinctive Haipai (Shanghai-style) culture. \nAgainst this backdrop\, China’s entertainment industries—including music\, dance\, and film—flourished. Night after night\, old Shanghai’s dance halls came alive with song and celebration\, and the unique cultural atmosphere of “Greater Shanghai” took shape and thrived. \nThis weekend\, let us recreate the cultural atmosphere of early 20th-century Shanghai and share a nostalgic evening together in a traditional Chinese tea space. \nThe event will feature dance performances\, tea tastings\, and refreshments. We are also delighted to invite friends from a theater group to present a live performance that travels through time. \nGuests are warmly encouraged to wear vintage or retro-inspired attire if they wish to join in the spirit of the evening.
