Tea Class: White Tea (English)

Join us for a focused introduction to White Tea — one of the most delicate and minimally processed styles of Chinese tea, celebrated for its natural sweetness, silky texture, and quiet elegance. In this class, we’ll explore what defines white tea, how it differs from green and other lightly oxidized teas, and why “less processing” does not mean less complexity.

We’ll also look at the historical origins of white tea in Fujian, examine key styles such as Silver Needle, White Peony, and Shoumei, and discuss how aging can transform its character over time. The class concludes with a guided tasting of several representative white teas.
