Beautifully performed tea classes and flights in English and Chinese in this cultural center. Hands-on instruction on traditional steeping techniques to get the most enjoyment out of the wide variety of tea styles available and the history behind the tea-producing regions. Empires were created and armadas were destroyed over the movement of camellia sinensis. It’s fascinating to appreciate how much of the modern world was shaped by these plants and that wasn’t even over the good stuff available here at TeaFairy!

When I called to make an appointment, I wasn’t expecting them to be waiting for me, tea at the ready! Spent almost an hour drinking tea with Master Zuo and ended up walking away with a brick of delicious Fuzhuan cha, a cake of their 2020 Mt. Yiwu sheng, and a ton of samples! She also elated me the opportunity to sample some extremely well-aged puer.
